QUETTA – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javaid Bajwa reached Quetta and was given a detailed briefing over the Quetta suicide blast and the overall law and order situation in the province.
Later on Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa participated in funeral prayers of the Pishin Stop terror attack victims on Sunday and urged the nation to pay tribute to the sacrifices rendered in war on terror during Independence Day celebrations on August 14.
Media cell of the army, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that General Bajwa visited Quetta after eight soldiers and 15 persons were killed in a terror attack on an army truck on Saturday night.
The military chief inquired on health of the injured in Civil Hospital.
General Bajwa was briefed on security situation in the province after the latest terror attack.
The funeral prayers were also offered by interior minister Ahsan Iqbal and Balochistan governor and chief minister among others.
