NAWABSHAH, June 13 (APP): Police registers FIR and arrests banned political party leaders
Police have arrested 61 activists of banned political party on the charges of shouting anti state slogans, kidnapping and murder of Assistant Sub Inspector Police and snatching official weapons.
According to police FIR No.88/2016 lodged at A-Section Police Station Sunday, police was looking for 231 to 331 accused activists of Jay Sindh Mutahhid Mahaz(JSMM) including their leaders Zainul Abdin Bhutto, Fayyaz kakepota, Asif Jono and others.
Police said that all the accused belonged to banned Jeay Sindh Mutehda Mahaz Party, formed a rally and raised anti state slogans on Sunday.
It said that heavy contingent of police managed to rescue its Assistant Sub Inspector Imtiaz Ali and recovered the snatched official weapons.
The investigation is handed over to Anti Terrorist Cases In-charge Inspector Abdul Wahid Khoso.
The Airport Police has registered another FIR No.40/2016 under sections of Anti Terrorist Act againsy 300 to 400 unidentified persons equipped with weapons and sticks.
The FIR states that the Airport Police was on routine patrolling when it sighted a rally of banned JSMM party activists raising anti state slogans.
It said that police attempted to stop them, but the rally participants resorted to firing to kill police and spread terrorism, they also attacked police and prevented them to discharge their duty.
