ISLAMABAD – Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur expect the squad to at leastplay semifinals while commenting on team performance in World Cup 2019.
He further said Sarfraz Ahmed’s men don’t want to be associated with the”unpredictable tag” and are rather focused on playing consistent cricket atthe 2019 World Cup.
Mickey Arthur expressed confidence that Pakistan will be able to reach thesemi-finals of the World Cup, starting May 30 in England and Wales due totheir “work ethics and skills” not because of the unpredictability forwhich they have been known for over the years.
Despite having won the World Cup in 1992, Pakistan have not often beenconsidered favourites but dark horses at the 50-over quadrennialtournament. The former champions have, it is safe to say, lived up to theexpectations blowing hot and cold over the years.
At the 2017 Champions Trophy, not many billed Pakistan as favourites butSarfraz Ahmed’s men stunned India in the final by 180 runs to claim thetitle at the Oval in London.

“Unpredictable – that’s a word that us as coaching staff hate. You read allthe previews now, they say Pakistan are going to be in the top four becauseof their unpredictability.
