ISLAMABAD – German Delegation led by Ambassador of Germany to PakistanMartin Kobler, and Managing Director Siemens Pakistan Helmut Von Struve,called on Chairman Board of Investment (BOI) Haroon Sharif in Islamabad onWednesday.
Chairman BOI explained to the delegates that the government has prioritizedskills development and technology development and the country welcomesexperience and knowledge transfer from the international partners.
He added that the research & development, networking and experience ofSiemens will be of great value to Pakistan.
The Managing Director of Siemens apprised the Chairman BOI of similarprojects already undertaken by his company in Pakistan and the rest of theworld.
This includes grants for strengthening engineering school in LUMS as wellas establishing and managing an educational institution. Therepresentatives of Siemens said the company is already looking to imparttraining to technical education universities and institutions in thecountry.
MD Siemens also showed interest in partnering with Pakistan for developingenergy landscape of the country.
German Ambassador also informed Chairman BOI that Chairman of Siemens willbe visiting Pakistan next month for the purpose of putting these ideas intoshape.
