ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Youth Affairs Programme (PMYAP) has planned tolaunch “Start-up Pakistan Programme” under “Kamyab Jawan Programme” tolearn new technologies by engaging 100,000 students.
According to an official sources, the objective of the said programme wasto train one million students from different universities and technicalcolleges across the country.He said that the programme would provide support to all universities andvocational training centres in developing capacity in incubation serviceswhich will offer students to start their own business.
He said that the programme would provide essential funding to HigherEducation Commission (HEC) and National Vocational and Technical TrainingCommission (NAVTTC) to accelerate the expansion of Business IncubationCentres (BICs).
HEC’s BICs will provide 500,000 trainings in entrepreneurship and wouldprovide blended incubation for all HEC accredited universities across thecountry to graduate 5,000 start-ups from BICs, he said.
He said that NAVTIC would also provide trainings to 500,000 youths inentrepreneurship and blended incubation for top 300 technical trainingcentres across country.
He said that the programme would also engage overseas Pakistanis fromdeveloped nations to empower young technology entrepreneurs, providingguidance, opening markets, and investing their intellectual and financialcapital.
