Pakistan currency continue downward spiral against US dollar

ISLAMABAD – The business community has asked the government to takemeasures to further squeeze country’s trade deficit which slightly fell to8.86 billion dollars in first quarter of current fiscal from the 9 billiondollars reported in corresponding period of last fiscal.

Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front former chairman IrfanIqbal Sheikh said that the Pakistani rupee continued its downward slideagainst the US dollar, hitting the all-time low of 134 rupees against thegreen back in the inter-bank market.
