ISLAMABAD – Pakistani Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed to be removed from thecaptaincy of the Test team in the first step, the principle decision hastaken by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
An important meeting between the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB) Ehsan Mani and captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has been scheduled in whichSarfraz Ahmed would be conveyed the decision.
Skipper Safraz will be asked to resign from the leadership role of thenational Test side while retaining the captaincy in the limited-oversformats.
Many questions had been raised about the captaincy and performance ofSarfaraz after the 2019 International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup inEngland.
The PCB, however, retained the wicketkeeper-batsman as the captain ofPakistan in the recently concluded limited-overs series against Sri Lanka.
