Three former Generals summoned by NAB: Report

ISLAMABAD – Three former generals and a brigadier in case pertaining toillegal lease of Railway Golf Club have been summoned by NAB Court.

The accused are facing allegations of causing Rs2 billion damage to thenational exchequer.

The court while issuing summons ordered Lieutenant General (r) Javed AshrafQazi, Lieutenant General (r) Saeed-ul-Zafar, Major General (r) Hamid HassanButt and Brigadier (r) Akhtar Ali to appear before the court.

The court also ordered former Railways general manager (GM) Iqbal SamadKhkam, former member finance Khursheed Khan, Abdul Ghaffar, Ramzan Sheikh,Pervaiz Qureshi and Royal Palm Golf Club sponsors to appear in the nexthearing.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had said that the former officersof Railway Golf Club illegally leased the club inflicting a loss of Rs2billion to the national exchequer.
