Good news for former Skipper Mohammad Hafeez

ISLAMABAD – Former Pakistan cricket team captain, Mohammad Hafeez, has beengiven positive feedback regarding his injury, which he picked up during thefourth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Mohammad Hafeez is likely to be ready for the fitness test ahead of the ICCCricket World Cup, which is to be hosted in England and Wales.

The 38-year-old underwent two surgeries and has been following a strictrehabilitation plan in order to recover from a thumb injury.

According to sources, his progress has been good and he will feature in thefitness test, which is scheduled for 15th and 16th April at the NationalCricket Academy, Lahore.

Hafeez is regarded as a valuable member of Pakistan’s ODI team and heshowcased his abilities in Champions Trophy 2017, where he played a pivotalpart in the campaign.

The final squad for the World Cup 2019 will be announced on 18th April inLahore.
