ISLAMABAD – Toyota Indus Motor Company has increased the prices of carswith engine capacity of over 1700cc by 10%. The new prices have come intoeffect from Monday, March 11, 2019.
Indus Motors CEO, Ali Asghar Jamali, has attributed the hike to 10% FederalExcise Duty (FED) imposed by the government on vehicles with 1700cc andabove engine capacity.
The notice sent to the dealers by the auto company read:
It is important to note that FED will be applicable to all new and balanceorder (including full and partial payment). New RSP (retail selling price)will also be applicable to all government orders pending delivery with thecompany.
