ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and the United Kingdom Foreign Ministers had atelephone contact on Thursday.
Both agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in the spheresof regional security, counter-terrorism, organized crime, money-launderingand asset recovery.
The understanding came during telephonic conversation between ForeignMinister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi and British Secretary of State forForeign and Commonwealth Affairs Jeremy Hunt today (Tuesday).
The two sides also agreed to hold the 4th round of Pakistan-UK EnhancedStrategic Dialogue in the first quarter of 2019 in London.
They also expressed satisfaction at the finalization of Protocol onTransfer of Prisoners between Pakistan and UK, which would be signedshortly.
The Foreign Minister appreciated the expanded bilateral cooperation andstressed that the United Kingdom is an important trade and investmentpartner of Pakistan.
