71st death anniversary of father of Nation QuaidAzam being observed today

ISLAMABAD – The 71st death anniversary of father of nation Quaid-e-AzamMuhammad Ali Jinnah is being observed on Wednesday.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born on 25th December, 1876. He was a lawyer, alegendary politician and the founder of Pakistan.

Jinnah served as leader of the All-India Muslim League from 1913 untilPakistan’s creation on 14th August 1947 and then as Pakistan’s firstGovernor-General until his death.

He is revered in Pakistan as Quaid-e-Azam and Baba-i-Qaum.

In this connection, a special ceremony of Quran Khawani and Fateha is goingto be held at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam in Karachi today.

People from different walks of life will visit the mausoleum to lay floralwreath on the grave.

To mark the day, various programs have also been chalked out by educationalinstitutions and political, social and cultural organizations to shed lighton the personality and leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Radio Pakistan will broadcast special programs covering various aspects ofhis personality.

Father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah passed away on 11thSeptember, 1948.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said that dream of IndianSub-Continent’s Muslims for an independent homeland was materialized underdynamic leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

In his message on Wednesday, he said that we are living as an independentnation today because of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a man ofprinciple and a courageous leader.

He said that Quaid-e-Azam’s motto of Unity, Faith and Discipline isguarantor of progress and prosperity of country and Pakistan can get rid ofall crises by following his golden principles.
