LAHORE – PTI government has made key announcement over local governmentelections in Punjab.
Prime Minister (PM) Spokesperson Nadeem Afzal Chan said that new localgovernment system election would be held within a year in Punjab. Heexpressed that it is to facilitate the common people at the grassrootslevel.
Talking to the media, Nadeem Afzal asserted it is very vital to facilitatecity and village level with this new local government system.
Spokesperson said that a constructive change would soon be observed in thecountry‘s institutions, economy and other sectors due to concrete andpositive measures taken by the PM Imran Khan. “New LG system to bringprosperity in the country and will ensure devolution of the powers”, PMsaid.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) already announced a Ramadan package andgiven subsidies on food to decrease the inflation and poverty.

“Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) government had badly damaged theinstitutions and economy through redundant policies and programs,” heexpressed.
He further said that old system did not deliver for the welfare of poor butonly metropolitan cities.
Nadeem Afzal showed determination to resolve all the problems at domesticlevel including education, health and sanitary facilities.
