ISLAMABAD – In National Assembly, responding to the concerns of theopposition members over the recently announced tax reforms package, Advisoron Finance, Miftah Ismail said it is a historic package in whichunprecedented relief has been given to the salaried class by substantiallyreducing the tax rates.
He clarified that people with criminal activities or corruption cannotbenefit from the tax amnesty scheme.
Miftah Ismail said the scheme is aimed at increasing the tax base and itwill help attract more investment and spur industrial activity in thecountry.
The House will now meet tomorrow morning at ten thirty.
