MOSCOW – Russia has urged Israel to avoid any steps that would lead to anew confrontation in the region.
The caution came during a telephonic conversation between Russian PresidentVladimir Putin and Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over thesituation in Syria.
According to Kremlin, both leaders discussed the situation around theactions of the Israeli air force, which carried our missile strikes ontargets in Syria.
