Pakistan strongly responds over Indian troops restrictions in IOK on Eid MiladNabi

*ISLAMABAD: **Pakistan strongly responds over Indian troops restrictions inIOK on Eid Milad-un-Nabi.*

*Pakistan strongly condemned the restrictions imposed by the Indianauthorities on all the congregations in the Indian Occupied Jammu andKashmir on Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).*

According to Foreign Office, all roads leading to the Hazratbal Shrine inSrinagar and other holy shrines and mosques in the Indian Occupied Jammuand Kashmir were sealed by the Indian occupation forces to stop anyprocessions on this auspicious occasion, which is traditionally observed byKashmiris with great fervour.

“Imposition of restrictions on celebrations and other congregations on thebirthday of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) represents utter disrespect for thesentiments of the Muslims of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. It is alsoa flagrant violation of their fundamental freedom of religion,” said astatement by foreign office.

“We urge the international community, the United Nations, and other humanrights organizations to take notice of the brutal suppression of thereligious rights and freedoms of the Kashmiri people in violation ofinternational laws and conventions.”

The FO spokesman said for more than 14 weeks, over 8 million Kashmiris areunder the inhuman lockdown by over 900, 000 Indian occupation forces. TheIndian government should immediately restore internet and mobile phoneservices, release all prisoners including civil society members, especiallythe abducted young boys, remove article 144, Public Safety Act and otherdraconian laws, and allow the independent media and international humanrights observers to visit the region to independently observe thewell-being of the Kashmiri people.

He said the Indian government cannot suppress the aspirations of the peopleof Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir for exercising their right toself-determination as enshrined in the UN Security Council resolutions.
