ISLAMABAD – Former PM Nawaz Sharif has given a ‘guarantee’ to governmentfor return back to Pakistan, media report had revealed.Pakistan MuslimLeague Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nehal Hashmi stated that ailing Nawaz Sharifhas given a guarantee of returning back to the country after gettinghimself treated from the London.
Replying to a question, Nehal opined that Nawaz’s track-record proves thathe will return back.
“I’ve heard that NAB is demanding guarantee [from government that Nawazwill return]. Nawaz Sharif, himself, has given guarantee in this regard.What type of guarantee? In the past, when Nawaz Sharif was handed overimprisonment sentence, he returned back to Pakistan to serve it”, Nehal wasquoted as saying in the GNN program.Twitter Ads info and privacylinklinkOn the other hand, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) stated thatauthority to remove the name of Nawaz Sharif from Exit Control List (ECL)rests with Interior Ministry and the Cabinet Committee.
The anti-graft watchdog maintained that it would accept the decision takenby competitive authority in this regard.

The officials of NAB further added that its jurisdiction is valid withinthe boundaries of the country. They added that NAB had not opposed Nawaz’spleas because of medical reasons.
The officials further added that NAB has not yet received medical reportsof the ailing Nawaz and that anti-graft watchdog would take any decisionafter reviewing the reports of Nawaz Sharif.
