Complete shutdown in occupied Kashmir against martyrdom of freedom fighters

SRINAGAR – In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed in Pulwama,Tral and other areas against the martyrdom of two more Kashmiri youth inPulwama district, today (Saturday).

According to Kashmir Media Service, troops martyred the youth, LiyaqatAhmed Wani and Wajid-ul-Islam during a cordon and search operation inTikken area of the district.

Later, thousands of people participated in funeral prayers of the martyredyouth in their native Bellow and Babhar areas in the district amidstpro-freedom and anti-India slogans.

The occupation authorities had suspended internet services in the districtand ordered suspension of classes in Government Degree College, Pulwama.

Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Gilani says India’sunrealistic approach towards Kashmir dispute is the main cause of bloodshedin the occupied territory.

Hurriyat leader, Muhammad Musaddiq Aadil, Democratic Freedom Party and theChairman of United Jihad Council, Syed Salahuddin, in their statements alsopaid homage to the martyred youth.

Meanwhile, students of Central University of Kashmir in Nowgam staged aprotest march in Srinagar, today to press demand for release of theirfellow students arrested by the Indian police.

In Brussels, Kashmiri representative and the Chairperson of InternationalMuslim Women’s Union, Shamim Shawl, addressing a seminar highlighted theplight of the widows and half-widows of occupied Kashmir.
