ISLAMABAD – Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar hasunderlined the need that bureaucracy should gain adequate knowledge ofadministrative laws to discharge their duties independently, honesty andtransparently in accordance with the law and the Constitution.
He was talking to a 59-member delegation comprising faculty members andcourse participants of 109th National Management Course, NationalManagement College, Lahore, which called on him in Islamabad today.
He said that vibrant bureaucracy is indispensable for the State therefore;bureaucracy must try its level best to ensure good governance in thecountry.
He also explained that Supreme Court under constitutional scheme, possessesspecial jurisdiction of the judicial review to examine certain acts oflegislative and executive organs of the State repugnant to the Constitution.
On the occasion, the Chief Justice welcomed the delegation and gave them anoverview of the 1973 Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
He briefed them on principles of natural justice, judicial system ofPakistan, its functioning, role, dispensation of justice and constitutionaljurisdiction of Supreme Court of Pakistan to provide relief to people.
The Chief Justice also explained to them tracheotomy of power and dilatedupon the role, function and importance of each limb of the State -Legislative, Executive and Judiciary.
