ISLAMABAD – The Chinese Embassy has given a strong response over thecontroversy created by the Foreign Media report over CPEC.
Chinese embassy in Islamabad said that a report published by the FinancialTimes linkregardingthe China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was based on distorted andmisquoted information.
In a strong-worded press statement on Monday, the embassy said it has takennotice of the report, comments of Razzak Dawood and as the clarificationissued by the Ministry of Commerce and Textile of Pakistan.
“It is a firm consensus between China and Pakistan that the CPEC is amutually beneficial project and both the governments will carry it forwardaccording to the needs of Pakistan and for the development of Pakistan,” itsaid.

“Such ill-intentioned reports based on distorted and misquoted informationonly demonstrate that the report contributor has total ignorance andneglect of the CEC of the CPEC or China-Pakistan traditional partnership,”it added.
