Occupied Kashmir Rights Commission rules against Indian Army in human shield row

In Occupied Kashmir, the State Human Rights Commission has directed the authorities to provide one million rupees as compensation to the civilian used as human shield by Indian army earlier this year.

Chairman SHRC Justice Bilal Nazki said the state authorities have been asked to compensate Farooq Ahmad Dar for endangering his life and dignity.

Farooq Dar was tied to the bonnet of an Army jeep and paraded through several villages in Budgam district in April this year.
