*ISLAMABAD – Pashtun Tahafuz Movement** leaders Mohsin Dawar and Ali Wazirlikely to be disqualified as members of National Assembly.*
*A plea seeking disqualification Mohsin Javed Dawar and Ali Wazir was filedin the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday.*
In the petition, the petitioner accused the lawmakers of betraying themother nation. The petitioner also filed a stay application until thedisqualification matter is decided.
The plea demands that the ECP restrain Dawar and Wazir from attending theiroffices, public offices or NA meetings.

The petition comes following tensions in North Waziristan after a clashoccurred between security officials and protesters led by the lawmakers atthe Khar Kamar check post in Boya.
Wazir was arrested over charges of leading the May 26 attack while Dawarsurrendered on May 30. Both lawmakers are currently in police custody.
