ISLAMABAD – Chaudhry Nisar has parted ways with Pakistan Muslim LeagueNawaz (PML-N) as former interior minister will contest elections againstPML-N’s candidate engineer Qamar ul Islam for seat in lower house ofparliament.
Nisar on Sunday filed nomination papers through his aide Sheikh Aslam fortwo provincial assembly’s seats PP-10 and PP-12 whereas he also submittednomination papers for NA-59 Rawalpindi and NA-63 Taxila. ElectionCommission of Pakistan (ECP) has summoned Nisar on June-13.
On the other hand, Qamarul Zaman also filed nomination papers for NA-59claiming support of Maryam Nawaz.
Meanwhile, PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif is mulling over contestinggeneral elections 2018 from as many as three constituencies of Karachi.
As per details garnered, the former Punjab chief minister (CM) has obtainednomination papers for the same whereas PML-N’s parliamentary board hasratified the decision.
