PSL Spot Fixing Scandal axe falls on two more players

KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has summoned fast bowler Muhammad Irfan and Shahzaib Hassan in connection with the inquiry of a spot fixing scandal that cropped up last month during the second edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The summons were issued by the Anti-Corruption Unit of PCB asking both the cricketers to appear before the authorities on Monday and Tuesday next week.

Both the cricketers were also grilled during the PSL tournament after PCB suspended Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif over spot fixing scandal.

PCB Chairman Shaharyar Khan had told media both suspended cricketers were involved in spot-fixing, adding that the suspects would  be given the chance to defend themselves against all allegations leveled against them.
