ISLAMABAD – Naval Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi Wednesday reiteratedPakistan Navy’s unflinching resolve to ensure seaward defence of vitalmaritime infrastructure and protection of the maritime interests ofPakistan against all threats and challenges at all cost.
Chairing Command and Staff Conference of Pakistan Navy, Naval Staff chiefexpressed his utmost confidence over operational preparedness of PakistanNavy.
He also lauded successful conduct of firing of indigenously developedHarbah Naval Cruise Missile.Chief of the Naval Staff said that this project is a manifestation ofPakistan Navy’s road map towardsindigenization, and it will enhance combat potential of PN Fleet manifold,said a press release.
The Naval Chief also expressed satisfaction over operational readiness ofPakistan Navy in the face of prevalent Maritime challenges includingsecurity aspects of Gwadar Port and related Maritime
Components of CPEC Project, and lauded the morale and motivation of troopsat all levels.
Command and Staff Conference of Pakistan Navy concluded at NavalHeadquarters, Islamabad. Command and Staff Conference undertook strategicreview of Pakistan Navy’s Policies and Plans.
Matters related to operational preparedness, developmental plans ofPakistan Navy, prevailing security situation and training/ welfare oftroops were reviewed.
Detailed briefings on various ongoing and future Pakistan Navy projects andplans were also given to Chief of the Naval Staff.
