In South Asia, Pakistan was ranked 2nd behind India which bagged the1st positionfor remittances.
According to WB, employment opportunities contracted in the GulfCooperation Council (GCC) countries contracted in 2017 and 2018, mostly inSaudi Arabia because of nationalization policies, as highlighted by lowerdeployments in Pakistan (-26% during January–August 2018 and 41% in 2017).
