NEW YORK – Pakistan gets a diplomtic victory against India at UN overOccupied Kashmir as UN Chief has vindicated Pakistan’s stance over theissue.
United Nations Secretary-General has been following the situation inIndian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) with concern as he has made an appeal formaximum restraint.
“The position of the United Nations on this region is governed by theCharter of the United Nations and applicable Security Council resolutions,”said office of the spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General in astatement.

The secretary-general also recalled the 1972 Agreement on bilateralrelations between India and Pakistan, also known as the Simla Agreement,which states that the final status of Indian occupied Kashmirlinkisto be settled by peaceful means, in accordance with the Charter of theUnited Nations.
The Secretary-General is also concerned over reports of restrictionsin the occupiedKashmirlink,which could exacerbate the human rights situation in the region.
