ISLAMABAD – President Mamnoon Hussian has set the ball rolling for the nextgovernment formation in Pakistan which is likely to be led by Imran Khan.
The inaugural session of newly elected National Assembly has been summonedwhich would ultimately select the new Prime Minister of Pakistan.
It will be held on Monday August 13 after President Mamnoon approved thesummary moved by Caretaker Prime Minister Justice (Retd) Nasir-ul-MalkThursday requesting the President to convene the session.
The newly elected members of the lower house of the parliament would takeoath in the session after which they would elect leader of the house-PrimeMinister of the country.
The PTI is likely to get Imran Khan elected as the next prime minister ofPakistan after it became clear that the party has secured majority of theseats in the assembly and enjoys support of independently elected MNAs andcoalition partners .
