ISLAMABAD: Jordanian King Abdullah on Friday departed after completion of atwo-day official visit.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi saw off the visiting dignitary at NoorKhan airbase. Before departing, the king of Jordan inspected Pakistan AirForce’s JF-17 Thunder aircraft performing a spectacular flypast over theairbase.
Earlier in the day, King Abdullah met President Mamnoon Hussain in thefederal capital, where they agreed to deepen cooperation between the twocountries in trade and other fields.
The Jordanian King said concrete proposals for cooperation would come underdiscussion during a meeting of Pakistan-Jordan Joint Ministerial Commissionslated to take place next month.
He said Pakistan’s strong position on the issues concerning the Muslimworld had been a source of strength for the Ummah.
President Mamnoon Hussain emphasized that the issues of Kashmir andPalestine should be resolved at the earliest for the sake of global peaceand stability.
He lauded Jordan for adopting a courageous stand on the issue ofrecognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel by the United States.
Later in the day, the Jordanian King witnessed a spectacular display offly-past by JF-thunder at Noor Khan Airbase.
