Gold prices register significant decline in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a decline on Saturday, as reported by theAll-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). The price pertola of gold decreased by Rs2,000, bringing the new price to Rs261,500.Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold saw a reduction of Rs1,714, nowstanding at Rs224,194.

In contrast, silver prices remained steady, with the price per tolaunchanged at Rs2,950.

On the international market, spot gold dropped by 0.8% to $2,495.86 perounce, after reaching its highest point since August 20, a day when goldhit a record peak. U.S. gold futures also declined by 0.7%, closing at$2,524.60.

Elsewhere in the precious metals market, spot silver saw a significant dropof 3.1%, settling at $27.92. Platinum prices fell by 0.4% to $920.55, whilepalladium experienced a notable decline of 3.1%, with prices at $913.00.
