ISLAMABAD – Election Commission of Pakistan has rejected the impression ofdelay in the process of formation of new government.
In a statement today (Wednesday), the ECP spokesperson said after theelections on 25th of last month, successful candidates have to submitexpenditure details to ECP within ten days under Section 98 (3) of ElectionAct 2017.
He said the Commission issued the notification of successful candidatesyesterday.
Moreover, the independents have to join a political party within three daysof this notification under article 51 (d) as well as submitting anaffidavit till tomorrow.
He said the notification regarding allotment of reserved seats to politicalparties will be issued on Saturday next.
He said accusing ECP of causing delay is wrong and contrary to Election Act2017.
