Kashmir Day, Al Quds Day marked by forceful anti India and anti Israel rallies across occupied Kashmir

SRINAGAR – In Occupied Kashmir, Kashmir Day and Al-Quds Day on Friday wasmarked by forceful anti-India and anti-Israel demonstrations and ralliesacross the territory.

Indian troops injured and arrested several people after using brute forceagainst the protesters.

Call for observance of the day was given by the Joint Resistance Leadershipcomprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik toimpress upon the UN and the international community to fulfill theircommitment to resolve the two disputes in accordance with the relevantresolutions of the World Body.

People took to the streets in Srinagar, Badgam, Magam, Ganderbal, Shopian,Islamabad, Kokernag, Pulwama, Kulgam, Kupwara, Bandipora, Baramulla andother areas raising high-pitched pro-freedom, anti-India and anti-Israelslogans.

The demonstrations were led by Hurriyet leaders and troops fired pelletsand teargas shells to disperse the protesters in Srinagar, Islamabad townand other places.

Syed Ali Gilani, in a video message said the Kashmiris will continue theirstruggle till they achieved freedom from India. He expressed seriousconcern over the genocide of the Palestinians and the Kashmiris anddemanded peaceful resolution of the disputes of Kashmir and Palestineaccording to the aspirations of the people of the two regions.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing a gathering at Jamia Masjid in Srinagardeplored that India has been pursuing the policy of oppression, use ofbrute force and targeted killing of innocent people during the past thirtyyears in general and for the last four years in particular. He also urgedthe world community particularly the Muslim Ummah to fulfill itsresponsibilities to save the innocent people of Palestine from thecruelties of Israeli forces.
