ISLAMABAD – Election Commission of Pakistan has reportedly suggested July25 as the date for holding the General Elections 2018. A summary to thiswould be sent to President of Pakistan in coming days.
Spokesperson Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Altaf Khan says all isset to hold general elections in the country. ECPlink> has finalised delimitation,appointed Returning Officers and all other important milestones have beenachieved for the General Elections.
He was speaking in Radio Pakistan’s News and Current Affairs programme onTuesday morning.
The spokesperson said the Commission staff is focusing to finalizearrangements and emphasis is being laid on facilities especially fordisabled persons.
He said that a physical survey was launched across the country to preparereport pertaining to missing facilities.
The spokesperson said the Commission has sent letters to all ChiefMinisters to observe the law and order situation during the upcominggeneral elections.
