MIRPUR: The AJK government has devised an integrated and broad-based phased plan to ensure women empowerment with their maximum involvement in various capacities in nation-building institutions.
The plan also involves utilizing all possible resources for speedy development and welfare of women engaging them in all spheres of life in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, official sources told APP here Monday.
The sources said that special emphasis was being given for establishing small industries for women and to provide them micro finance for the task.
“Since women play a role for speedy progress or all sections of society in the country, the government intends to extend all possible facilities to women to enable them to serve their intellect and pen for the progress and prosperity of the nation and the country”.
The sources underlined that women had performed a praiseworthy role under the umbrella of various NGO’s in the earthquake-hit areas of the country including AJK.
“Economically strong and prosperous women can play a more effective role for the betterment and uplift of society,” the sources concluded. (APP)
