Karachi: Additional Inspector General (IG) Kamran Fazal stopped a family inthe middle of the road for apparently no reason at all, harassing them inwhat is typically known as thaana culture.
However the family, refused to give in to the police’s draconian ways.
The video of this incident allegedly shot by the members of the familythemselves, going viral on the social media platforms, shows two policeconstables asking them to step down of their car, and go speak to theAdditional IG Fazal. They refused to mention his name to the citizensthough, when questioned.
Across the world, it is a practiced norm for the police personnel to walkdown to the citizen and speak to them; even if the citizen is over-speedingor breaking some other traffic rule.

However, in this case, the additional IG was simply misusing hisbureaucratic influence to cause hindrances and harassment to the verycitizens whose safety was his prime duty
