41,000 Job Vacancies announced for Grade 1 – 15

KARACHI – Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah Monday directed allthe provincial departments to start the process of recruitment from grade 1to grade 15 against 41,000 vacancies purely on merit and transparentprocedure.

He said while presiding over a meeting regarding recruitments on vacantposts, said a statement.

The meeting was attended by almost all the cabinet members, ChiefSecretary Mumtaz Ali Shah, Chairman P&D Mohammad Waseem and all provincialsecretaries.

The chief minister said that there were 41,000 vacant positions ofGrade 1 to Grade 17 in different departments.

“I want to fill all these vacancies to improve performance of thedifferent departments and provide employment opportunities to thedeserving and eligible candidates,” he said and adding that these allpositions would be made through a transparent procedure.

Murad said that the recruitment from Grade -1 to Grade-4 would be madeat local level through selection committees.

The chief minister also directed the provincial secretaries thatthe women and differently-abled persons would have their quota in thenew recruitment process.

The meeting decided that from Grade-5 to Grade-15 recruitmentwould be made through testing service/third party so that the merit couldbe maintained.

The chief minister directed Minister education Syed Sardar Shahto start recruitment of teachers through a separate process.

The education minister Syed Sardar Shah assured the chiefminister that the teacher recruitment would be completed during the summervacations.

It may be noted that teaching posts are separate from the 41,000 vacantpositions.

Sindh Minister for Health Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho pointed out theshortage of doctors and informed that meeting that a requisition for 1700doctors have been made to Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) for theselection purpose.
