*ISLAMABAD:* The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to launchan inquiry against two ex-army officials over their suspected transactionreports.
The decision was taken during a NAB’s executive board meeting, headed byBureau chairman Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal, on Thursday.
The NAB chairman approved inquiry against former Inspector General FrontierCorps Balochistan Lt Gen (Retd) Obaidullah Khan and Brigadier (Retd) AsadShehzad over alleged irregularities in their transaction reports.
According to a press release issued by the NAB, all the inquiries are beinginitiated just on the basis of allegations and the alleged will be givenproper chance to respond.
While addressing the meeting, Iqbal said that corruption was the mother ofall evils and it had to be eradicated completely.
NAB officials are committed to their “loyalties to the nation” and doingtheir best for “corruption free Pakistan”, said the NAB chairman.
