ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan arrived onTuesday at Peshawar’s accountability court pertaining to a case ofallegedly misusing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) helicopters.
Khan’s lawyer Babar Awan accompanied him to the court. Strict securitymeasures were taken in account of the arrival of the PTI chairman. Khanwill be given a questionnaire consisting of 15 queries.
On August 3, NAB had summoned Khan to appear before the court on August 7(today). The court had adjourned the hearing after Khan’s lawyer requestedanother date for the court proceedings.
Khan is accused of illegally using Mi-17 and an Ecureuil helicopterbelonging to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government. This has caused a loss ofRs 2.1 million to the national treasure.
