KABUL – The Afghan military in the East says infighting among the Talibanand ISIS Khurasan continue in eastern Kunar province of Afghanistan as thelatest clashes have left more than ten militants dead or wounded nearborders with Pakistan.
The 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan Military in the East says a clash brokeout in Chapara Dara district between the two sides, leaving at least sevenISIS militants dead.
The source further added that the clash took place in Wich Naw and NiaziGani areas on Friday.
The Silab Corps said Thursday that three ISIS Khurasan militants werekilled and a Taliban militant was wounded during a similar clash in ChapaDara district a day earlier.
The anti-government armed militant groups including Taliban and ISISmilitants have not commented regarding the report so far.
The infighting among the Taliban and ISIS Khurasan militants continue amidongoing operations against the two groups in Kunar and other parts of thecountry.
Both the Afghan and US forces conduct ground operations and airstrikes tosuppress the militant groups in Kunar and other restive provinces.
