Last hurdle removed in the way of Tax Amnesty scheme

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has convinced the International Monetary Fund (IMF)over the tax amnesty scheme.

According to details, the amnesty scheme is likely to be introduced thismonth, while the federal government aims for collecting Rs170 billion moreunder the scheme.

Finance ministry sources claim that assets worth Rs2,500 could be termed‘legal’ as the scheme is implemented.
