QUETTA – “FC Balochistan conducted IBO [intelligence-based operation] inMaiwand [area] on terrorists suspected hideout,” said the Inter-ServicesPublic Relations (ISPR) in a statement.
“Cache of arms and ammunition including RPG rockets, mines, detonators andammunition recovered,” the military’s media wing added.
The raids were part of the ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad,a military offensive launched in February 2017 against the “latent threatof terrorism.”
On February 28, FC conducted an IBO on suspected terrorist hideouts inChaman, Sibi, Uch and Kohlu areas of Balochistan as part of the ongoingoperation and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition including suicidejackets, RPG rockets, sub-machine guns, mines, explosives, detonators andammunition.
