Saudi Arabia King Salman held important telephone call with Chinese President Xi Jinping

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Thursday made atelephone call to Chinese President Xi Jinping.

“During a phone conversation, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques sharedwith the President and friendly people of China painful feelings due to theoutbreak of novel coronavirus,” said official Saudi press release.

The Saudi king also expressed condolences to the families of the deaths,wishing the injured a speedy recovery. He also pointed out the kingdom’sconfidence of the Chinese government’s capability to deal with impacts ofthis virus.

He also directed King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief)to provide urgent assistance to China in order to contain impacts ofcoronavirus.

For his part, the President of China affirmed his country’s sufficientexperience to deal with this epidemic and address its impacts, expressingthanks to Saudi ruler for his keenness and strong support for combatingthis coronavirus. He added that this matter reflects a depth of relationsbetween the two countries.

Noting that the preventative measures are yielding positive results, Xiassured the Saudi King that China pays great attention to the safety of allthe Saudi citizens and other foreign national.

The death toll in an outbreak of a new coronavirus in China has climbed to565, and more than 28211 people have been infected, causing a global alarm.
