Pakistan Army leaves a strong message for Indian counterparts

NEW DELHI – Pakistan Army has left a strong message for India in case ofany misadventure as advocated by the Indian Army Generals and thepoliticians.

Any Indian misadventure shall be responded effectively, the army reiteratedon Wednesday.

The 208th Corps Commander’s Conference (CCC) was held at the GeneralHeadquarters and chaired by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Bajwa.

The forum reviewed the geo-strategic and security environment especially inthe context of US security-related policies for the region, stated a pressrelease issued by Inter-Services Public Relations.

India’s ceasefire violations were a vital part of the discussion and it wasdiscussed that national interest shall be kept at a premium whilecooperating with all other stakeholders for regional peace and stability.

The forum reiterated that gains of years long counterterrorism effortsshall be consolidated to achieve enduring peace and stability both forPakistan and the region.

In 2018, the Indian forces have carried out more than 190 ceasefireviolations along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary to date,resulting in the deaths of 13 innocent civilians and injuries to 65 others,according to the latest foreign ministry data.

It said the “unprecedented escalation in ceasefire violations by India” hadbeen continuing since the year 2017 when the Indian forces committed 1,970ceasefire violations.
