LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari claimed that the defence version of Asif Ali Zardari about the fake bank accounts was not included in the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report.
The opposition was being targeted as the written and verbal justifications given by his father in the fake bank accounts cases were omitted in the JIT report, he alleged while talking to media men here.
Bilawal Bhutto said the PPP would respond the legal matters through legal ways and deal the political affairs politically. “We are ideological politicians and do not afraid of threats and jails, as these are not new to us,” he added.
He said the PPP, which had faced injustice in the past, had the capability to do opposition on its own. Asif Zardari was a seasoned politician, who despite having no majority, had not only completed his presidential term but also managed to complete his party’s five year tenure in government, he added.

To a question about JUI-F chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman’s meetings, it said such meetings were a routine matter to find a common ground. He, however, ruled out formation of any grand alliance of the opposition.
