New Check posts set up on Pak-Afghan border to check infiltration of militants across the borders

PESHAWAR: Security Forces have set up several new check posts near Bajour Agency, area of Pak-Afghan border to stop the entrance of militants across the border.

As per details, tribe’s elder and locals welcomed the establishment of new check posts and said that such measures will be helpful to stop militants from infiltrating the agency and further into the country.

Tribe’s elder and locals expressed their vow to support forces for the eradication of terrorism. Acting on tip-off intelligence reports and with the cooperation of locals, huge cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered by security forces.

While briefing the media in the agency, Bajaur Scouts Commandant Colonel Nair Zaman said that law and order situation in agency will be improved by establishing new check posts and the step will boost security as militants in Afghanistan would enter Bajaur and attack locals, pro-government elders and security forces.
