*ISLAMABAD – Diamer Basha dam fund has reached over Rs 8.4 billion so far.*
According to the website of Supreme Court of Pakistan, the current statusof dam funds’ account stands at Rs: 8,412,407,682.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar has said that Pakistan needed Rs1500 billion to build Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand dams to avert water crisislooming over the country.
The Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand Dam Fund 2018 was established by the federalgovernment in pursuance of a Supreme Court order for raising funds for theconstruction of the two dams.
