KABUL – Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has called for joint peaceefforts to achieve a lasting peace in Afghanistan.
Talking to visiting U.S. Special Representative for AfghanistanReconciliation, Zalmay Khalilzad in Kabul, Ghani urged need of a politicalsolution to the conflict in the country.
During the meeting, Khalilzad briefed the Afghan president on his tours tothe countries in the region focusing on peace and reconciliation ofAfghanistan.
