LAHORE – Federal government responds over fake media notification of sixholidays in Muharram.
Government of Pakistan today refuted the fake news about six-day holidaysfrom September 6 to September 11 owing to security threat in the Holy monthof Muharram-ul-Haram.
Federal government on Twitter said that the notification, circulating inmedia, is fake and no such instructions have been issued by the Governmentof Pakistan regarding neither holidays nor security threats.

It went on to share the official notification by the Ministry of Interiorwhich stated about closing the private and publics offices by 3 pm toexpress solidarity with Kashmiris on Defence Day and commemorate thesacrifices made by Pakistani soldiers in defending its borders.
