ISLAMABAD – Over the sensitive issue of Revoking special status of OccupiedKashmir by Indian government, Pakistan government has two major options oninternational front.
Former Pakistan High Commissioner in India, Abdul Basit Monday saidPakistan has the option to challenge the illegal Indian decision ofKashmir’s special status at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) andUnited Nations Security Council (UNSC).
He told a private news channel that the India’s so-called democracy hasexposed its abominable face.
Basit said the Article 370 of the Indian constitution, which gives specialstatus to Kashmir, could not be abrogated by the Parliament of India or itsgovernment, adding the article could only be annulled by the Parliament ofKashmir.
He strongly condemned the atrocities and brutalities of Indian troops oninnocent people of Kashmir.
Foreign Office of Pakistan will deliberate with the help of the legalexperts at the earliest after the Supreme Court of India pronounces averdict over the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, President of Azad Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan told Radio Pakistanmade said the revocation of Articles 35-A and 370 from the IndianConstitution has exposed New Delhi before the international community.
He urged the United Nations to take cognizance of India’s decision which isin clear violation of not only United Nations Security Council resolutions91 and 122 but also all other resolutions on Kashmir.
