MUMBAI – Top Indian Actor Mithun Chakraborty’s son, Mahaakshay Chakraborty,has been accused of rape and cheating. An FIR was lodged against Mithun’sson and his wife, Yogita Bali, reported NDTV.
There was ample amount of proof against both Mahaakshay and Yogita, whichis why an FIR was registered against them, said Chief MetropolitanMagistrate Esha Gauba.
A woman, who requested anonymity, came forward to lodge an FIR against themother-son duo. She said that Mithun’s son had promised to marry her, butinstead, he cheated on her and raped her. She further added that when shetold him about his pregnancy, Mahaakshay gave her medicines which led to anabortion.
The woman further shared that she was threatened by Mahaakshay’s mother, ofdire consequences, and was asked to give up on the relationship with herson. She added that she moved to Delhi from Mumbai, because she wasn’tfeeling safe.
Taking the woman’s complaints seriously, an FIR was lodged; however, thepolice is still carrying investigations into the matter, since the caseinvolves the family of a high-profile name. The court further added that itis necessary to register an FIR for all rape cases, whether it’s against acommon man or a celebrity
